Everyone talks about Bogg Bags for the beach, the pool, or the gym bag.

But a Bogg Bag for farmers is a different kind of bag entirely.

Ours doesn’t see much sand or sunscreen; instead, it hauls eggs and milk through the house into our car and through our workplace every single day.

If you’re wondering whether a Bogg Bag is worth it, here’s exactly how we use ours at Shalom Farms.

Why We Reached for a Bogg Bag on the Farm

We transport 3 to 6+ dozen eggs with our farm bag just about every single weekday.

The old canvas or beach bags we were using before simply could never hold up to that kind of daily wear. Between the weight, the mess, and the constant washing, those bags fell apart fast.

We ended up doing some research (like we always do!), and the Bogg Bag kept coming up as sturdy, easy to clean, and built for exactly this kind of daily abuse.

So we bit the bullet and decided to give it a try back in August 2025 and love it so much that we tell everyone about this bag!

If you know anyone who is frustrated with their egg bag, or worse, on egg bag #3 with no hope of finding a better option, they would literally love one of these.

A Bogg Bag also makes a great gift idea, especially for someone who would never buy one for themselves.

With so many color options available, it’s easy to find your favorite, or even match it to your own farm’s brand colors, like we did.

Bogg Bag for Eggs

This is where the bags really shine.

The Original Bogg fits multiple dozens of eggs with room to spare, which makes it perfect for our regular haul.

But on lighter days, when we only have a dozen or two to move, the Original started to feel like overkill. That’s when we picked up the Baby Bogg as well, thinking if it didn’t work out as we hoped, then I would simply use it as my everyday carry for my books and journals and such (so I got it in light purple!).

It turned out to be the perfect size for single-stacking a smaller batch of eggs without all that extra empty space.

Having both sizes on hand means we always have the right bag for the day, instead of using one oversized bag for every job.

Hauling Frozen Milk

We’ve also put the Bogg to work moving frozen milk sleeves.

An Original Bogg works perfectly for hauling a big batch of frozen milk sleeves up from the downstairs freezer in one trip (4 sleeves = 1 gallon of milk, so it gets heavy!).

The Baby Bogg holds 4-6 sleeves comfortably.

Mostly an Inside Job (For Now)

On our farm, the Boggs live mostly indoors.

Between milk and eggs, that’s where our daily rhythm keeps them busy.

That said, the build is sturdy enough that we could easily put one to work outside for chores too, we just haven’t needed to yet.  These are easy to wash and are fairly indestructible so I have no doubt they can hold up to the farm.

If you’re using yours out in the barn or in the field, we’d love to hear how it holds up.

Why It Holds Up Better Than Other Totes

The Original Bogg runs $90, and the Baby Bogg runs $80.

Bogg also sells accessories like cup holders, coolers, and phone holders, but for farm use, you likely won’t need any of them. The bag does the job on its own but some of those could be useful if you’re traveling with product often.

Each one also comes with one or two clear insert bags included, which is a nice little bonus.  I like to keep our farm business card in them attached outside the bag for branding.

Beyond the price, it’s the durability that keeps this a solid Bogg Bag for farmers who need something reliable every day.

It’s washable, it won’t tip over, and it holds up to our daily farm needs without falling apart the way our old bags did.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Bogg Bags machine washable?

No, but that’s part of what makes it so farm-friendly.

The material wipes clean or hoses off easily and air dries, so you don’t need to run it through the wash to keep it looking good.

Do you need the insert bags that come with it?

Not necessarily.

Each Bogg Bag comes with one or two clear insert bags included, but for our purposes hauling eggs and milk, we’ve never needed to use them but I do like to place our farm business cards in them when taking out into town so we can have some handy.

It’s a nice extra to have on hand if you ever want more organization inside the bag or useful for branding outside the bag.

Should I get the Original or the Baby Bogg first?

It depends on your daily volume.

If you’re regularly hauling larger loads, like multiple dozens of eggs or half gallons of milk, the Original Bogg Bag is the better starting point.

If your needs are smaller, a dozen or two at a time, the Baby Bogg Bag is the perfect size without the extra empty space.

A Better Way to Haul the Daily Stuff

We didn’t expect a beach bag to become one of our most-used tools on the farm, but here we are!

If you’re hauling eggs, milk, or anything else through your day, a Bogg Bag for farmers might be worth adding to your own routine.

Ready to try one for yourself? Shop the Original or the Baby Bogg and see how it holds up on your farm.
