Our Current Seasonal Rhythm

Here is a quick look at what we are focusing on right now:

Spring: Baby Season

Our baby goats and lambs usually start arriving in March/April each year and thus begins Spring full steam ahead.

For 2026:

  • Goats: 9 does to kid (last momma to kid in June)
  • Sheep: 7 ewes to lamb (all in March)
Summer: Hay & Calves

For 2026:

  • 3 cows re-bred + 1 first time heifer
Fall: Beef & Winter Prep

In Fall, our focus shifts toward harvesting, planning ahead, and preparing the farm for the cold months.

Our Fall Priorities:

  • Processing our Grass-Fed Beef

  • Opening pre-orders for next year’s farm calendar

  • Winterizing the farm

Winter: Rest & Planning

Since the sun is down between 5pm and 6pm throughout this season (and it’s really cold most of the time), we don’t spend as much time outside on the land and with the animals as during all other seasons.

This helps us slow down a bit, focus on making sure we are set up for the upcoming year, and attempt to make any necessary changes.
