The Farm Feed

A quiet, algorithm-free window into the seasonality of our daily life.

07.07.25 MON – 2 baby calves!

We had 2 mommas that were both due on 7/7/25 and they BOTH had happy, healthy, bouncing baby calves on their due date

07.04.25 FRI – 2 more Nubians

We picked up 2 Nubian weanlings from Arlington, NE and are SO excited to have them!

06.30.25 MON

We sold a total of 18 goats in the month of June 😲 with our last 3 of them going to their new homes on the very last day

06.23.25 MON – Pick up our first Skid Steer from SD

Jeff drove to Aberdeen SD to pick up our very own (used) skid steer!

We named him EL TORO

It was a ROUGH 19 hour day of travel, but he made it back safe and sound (praise the Lord!)

06.16.25 MON – Processing Day

We processed 1 sheep and our first goat – it was a rough day for Lorraine 💔

06.14.25 SAT – Lamb Weaning Day

All our lambs were sold, and they’re now 3 months old so we are weaning them for a few weeks before pickup in July (so they’re less stressed when they leave)

05.17.25 SAT – Our 6 year anniversary ❤️

There’s no days off in farming, so today included regular chores, banding 3 baby goats, and an early Memorial Day BBQ

What is the Farm Feed?
