Hello from Shalom Farms!

A few quick notes on how we prefer to keep in touch, and why...

As a farm, our preferred methods of communication are through our:

(what can we say – we love a paper trail!)

Part of seeking a life of Shalom means keeping our phones put away.

We’ve found that email allows us to give your questions the thoughtful attention they deserve when the work day is done.

We typically respond to emails within two business days.

As we protect our weekends for farm projects and rest, we try to stay away from our devices and rarely carry them out of the house.

A Note on Kidding Season (March – May/June):

While we typically protect our weekends for rest, this is the one time of year we open the farm for scheduled visits.

If you are interested in our bottle babies, we would love to have you out on a Saturday or Sunday to meet them in person.

Please reach out to coordinate a time so we can give you our full attention and introduce you to the kids.

The Scoop (Our Newsletter)

If you want to stay in the loop, join us over at The Scoop — our newsletter covering the full picture of life at Shalom Farms.

Each month we share a Farm Report with highlights from the Feed, waitlist updates, and what’s available in the shop. When the season allows, we also share Photo Fridays and the occasional long read about farm life and the work behind it.

Our Farm Feed

Instead of social media, we share a live look at our life on The Farm Feed – an algorithm-free feed where we post as the seasons and our family rhythms allow.

It’s a quiet, distraction free way to see exactly what’s taking our time and attention, without the noise of a traditional feed.

Why the “Algorithm-Free” Life?

To be honest, we simply do not have the time, desire, or energy for social media.

We’ve chosen to avoid the noise and seek a life full of Shalom instead – focusing our attention on the farm, our family, and the people right in front of us.

This page was inspired by the /hello page movement—a simple way to share how to reach us (and how we’re choosing to live) without the noise of social media.
