This “Now feed” is like our own version of a social media feed, but also very much not like a social media feed.

11.08.25 SAT
Today was our last day milking until 2026.
Praise the Lord!
Our fingers (and the girls’ teats, i’m sure) are grateful – it’s been getting mighty cold at 5am
11.05.25 WED
We officially closed off our Grass Fed Beef waitlist for 2025!
11.02.25 SUN
Our first day not milking since April!
Rather than sleeping in, we choose to spend that first hour in quiet time (Jeff reads the Bible the ENTIRE time where I read the Bible, my current book: Practicing the Way, and also try to do a bit of journaling if I have the time) before venturing outside for chores.
Will do every other day for a few days to gently wean the girls off and begin drying them out.
11.01.25 SAT
Where has the time gone? This hasn’t been updated this since July!?!
07.09.25 TUE – THIS HEAT
So, it’s obviously been terribly hot this last week or two and Jeff has been a trooper and let me work on inside chores while he braves the heat outside in the evenings
07.08.25 TUE
1.5 inches of rain 😲
07.07.25 MON – 2 baby calves!
We had 2 mommas that were both due on 7/7/25 and they BOTH had happy, healthy, bouncing baby calves on their due date
07.04.25 FRI – 2 more Nubians
We picked up 2 Nubian weanlings from Arlington, NE and are SO excited to have them!
06.30.25 MON
We sold a total of 18 goats in the month of June 😲 with our last 3 of them going to their new homes on the very last day
06.23.25 MON – Pick up our first Skid Steer from SD
Jeff drove to Aberdeen SD to pick up our very own (used) skid steer!
We named him EL TORO
It was a ROUGH 19 hour day of travel, but he made it back safe and sound (praise the Lord!)
What kind of updates are these?
Glad you asked!
In March 2025, I was introduced to a “now page” where you basically give updates on what’s going on in your life NOW.
What’s the difference between this page and The Scoop? The scoop is created content about the farm and farming, whereas this page has quick updates giving a context on what is taking our time and attention during any given day.

A Note on Affiliate Links
Transparency is important to us!
As we share updates about our farm and personal life, we often link to the tools, books, and resources we truly use and love. Some of these are affiliate links.
If you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Think of it as a “thank you” from the brand for the referral. These small contributions help us cover our ever-growing farm expenses and allow us to keep sharing our journey with you.
