What are we up to these days?

May 2025

  • 05.17.SA – It’s our 6 Year Anniversary!
    • There’s no days off in farming, so today included regular chores, banding 3 baby goats, and an early Memorial Day BBQ
  • 05.12.MO – We launched our 2025 Raw Goat Milk Herdshare
  • 05.05.MO – Crunch gave us a Cinco de Mayo baby goat
  • I’ve been dabbling with bullet journaling, and stumbled upon Travelers Notebooks these last few weeks so have been converting an old Hot Pink Folio into a BUJO TN – and I’m  LOVING IT.
    • It’s a custom size – 7.25 height x 5.5 width (based on the folio dimensions) so I’ve been making my own inserts and even a custom laminated cover so that I don’t have to punch holes through the folio – in case I decide on a standard size later, then the folio is not ruined.

April 2025

  • April was a blur of baby goats, but you can get caught up on April babies (and all others) with our Baby Watch

March 2025

  • 03.29.SA – Hana had our last lambs of the season
  • 03.16.SU – Website work day
    • Besides chores (and a 1 hour nap at 3pm) we took the rest of the day to solely focus on migrating our old website www.pennerminifarms.com to our new permanent website www.shalomfarms.co.  Official annoucement soon?  TBD?
  • 03.15.SA – Our first lambs arrived! A boy and a girl 😍
  • 03.15.SA – Starting this “now page” to document how we’re doing

What kind of updates are these?

Glad you asked!

I like reading minimalist newsletters (short and no fluff!) and one included something about a “now page” where you basically update your people on what’s going on in your life right NOW.

For my purposes, I am trying to think of what I’d like to tell a good friend that I haven’t had the chance to connect with in a few months.

What’s the difference between this page and our farm newsletter?  The newsletter is mostly all farm based, but this page will include short personal and farm updates.
